Firearms Education

When we created Buck & Doe’s Mercantile, rule number one was that we would never be an intimidating place to come to. Many of our customers are new to shooting, so we took that to heart when creating our gun range and in the training of our handgun class instructors. You will find smiling, friendly faces ready to help introduce you to shooting, answer questions, lead classes, and provide a fun experience from the moment you walk in.

Buck & Doe’s Mercantile believes shooting lessons are important for your safety because most firearms accidents are caused by not following basic gun safety rules. It’s extremely important that anyone who handles firearms is properly trained on how to treat, handle, respect, and care for firearms properly. Four basic gun safety rules

There are four basic gun safety rules  to ensure that you and others around you are always safe when handling firearms.

  • Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
  • Never point the muzzle toward anything you are not intending to shoot.
  • Keep fingers off the trigger until you are aiming at a target and ready to fire.
  • Be sure of your target and anything beyond it.

At Buck & Doe’s Mercantile we are pro-family, pro-fun, and pro-guns. We are not just a gun range. We are a place for the family to come to have fun, shop, shoot, engage, learn, and create memories.

All firearms must be concealed, holstered, or in a case when entering or exiting the building. We welcome you to sign up for a gun class that meets your needs.
