I recommend the “Personal/Private” course ; covers safety , laws /home invasion, ,how to clean, handle, load n fire your gun. There’s a discount If you’re in a group of two or more . Our instructor Jeremy was awesome- is professional, knowledgeable and patient . Friendly and helpful staff, Plenty of parking, handicap accessible and clean.

I’ll first say that I have a previous relationship with Will, Rob and Corey. My loyalty to them is the only reason I would drive from almost in Castroville to B&D’s…even though I love the place. Will has worked on my bow and also built arrows for me a couple of times. He’s always great to work with. However, I went in last Saturday with a bit of an emergency and none of my guys were there. Instead, I worked with Jonathan. Jonathan listened to my needs, spent time getting my bow fixed and set back up the way I asked him to. He was professional, kind and efficient. Just another great bow technician at B&D’s trying to get me to keep making the long drive with great customer service and attention! I guess they all deserve a raise! But seriously, when your team goes above and beyond to give the highest level of customer service, and to build relationships with customers, that’s the key to continued success. If you have a great product, but treat your customers poorly, you’ll loose 10 out of 10 times! Treat them right, and you win, even if you occasionally drop the ball!

Great Job Archery Section and B&D’s!

For my Christmas present my boyfriend bought me my first firearm. We were visiting San Antonio at the time and came to Buck and Doe’s. Being the firearm aficionado that he is he immediately put a red dot (purchased elsewhere) on it however it caused the gun to jam. So we went back the next day to test out loosening the optic and try it without. Worked perfectly. Mike was helping us every step of the way. Great man! Very patient considering this is my first firearm. The entire staff was fantastic!! Very knowledgeable and informative. Not only about my firearm but anything we wanted to look at. Definitely look forward to coming back and chatting with Mike for many years to come!!

My son (10 year old) and I just had a wonderful total experience, and excellent private instruction with Ron Benton. I am so thankful for Ron’s thoughtful and caring demeanor. I would highly recommend anyone with experience, or first time shooters to spend time and learn from Ron. I am so thankful for a man like him in our community.

This was our first visit to you all business so, We took our son on a private lesson with Ron , wow he was awesome very informative on safety . That was my concern for my son first ever shooting a AR15, shot several rounds we where amazed on Ron’s teaching skill since he’s an veteran Army Ranger 👏.
I take my hat off , very communicative with staff , safe ,clean, organized. Our next visit will be with our daughter to take archery lessons.

This was my wife’s and myself s first time shooting a gun. The staff did a wonderful job of walking us through the safety features as well as instructing is on the process and procedures of shooting. Overall this was a excellent experience and would highly recommend Buck and Doe’s. We would go back there for sure

Ron and Don are amazing! I went in to purchase my first firearm and was nervous but they both showed me a selection of Glocks I was interested in buying. I was given a flyer on the membership prices so I could get the most discounts I was asking about before I decided to make a purchase. Ron worked with me for over a hour, rented me a Glock 19, got me range ammo, hearing & eye protection, and a target. He walked me thru how to take apart the firearm, handling it, loading/unloading, and more tips/tricks before I even got into the range. I felt completely comfortable having him assist me. The first time I shot I scored a 246/250 all because of the tips and ticks he recommend. He mentioned I do some research online and a few days later I came back and purchased a new Glock 45. Today, 06/06/2020 I completed the Texas License to Carry course and had Ron as my instructor. He was very informative and explained all the information perfectly. If it was not for Ron and Don I would probably never came back to Buck and Does. These two brothers are who I ask for anytime I have any questions or need assistance. Thank you both for everything!

I called these guys to look into some classes so I can raise my proficiency with my weapon. Ron was my instructor and he was amazing. He kept it light and fun but also kept it on point and to the topic. I was able to pick up what he was putting down and quite easily at that. For just $99, Ron made me much more confident in my ability to hit what I’m aiming at and ONLY what I’m aiming at. As a bonus, he even gave me some good “what ifs” to consider. If you go to him for the private instruction you can expect to get more than your money is worth. The range is the cleanest and most advanced I’ve been to. By the end of the day, I’d shot at multiple ranges and even multiple moving targets, which I didn’t even realize was possible. If you’re serious about being a responsible gun owner and a good ambassador for the 2nd amendment, I highly recommend going up there to talk to him because he will teach you the skills you need to defend your family safely should the worst case scenario ever come to your door. My favorite quote from Ron today, “don’t be a Richard Cranium!” I’ll be coming back soon for my LTC, you can bet on that. Total pro.

We (me and my 9 y.o. son) had a great first time experience here. The staff was very kind, informative, and focused on our having a safe experience. Shout-out to Kali who walked us through the steps and encouraged us when we were feeling a bit nervous. Highly recommend this place. For the record, I am anti-gun. Had a good, friendly dialogue on the pro-gun position.
