What is our Intro to Firearms – Youth Edition?
Our Intro to Firearms – Youth Edition, our certified instructors will cover gun safety both on and off the range while allowing the youth to experience “hands-on” instruction in the safe loading and firing a .22 caliber bolt action rifle. Kids are curious about guns and sometimes they don’t ask the questions they are wondering about. Without the proper education and training, many children are tempted to “play” with a firearm and do not know how to properly and safely use it.
This class is a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on shooting in our indoor shooting range here in San Antonio. Students will learn the four universal safety rules for firearms, how to identify and safely clear common rifle malfunctions, how to properly store and transport firearms, and finally how to shoot it accurately.
This class is appropriate for all skill levels and for kids 8 and older. The course is designed for the new shooters but is also a great refresher for the experienced shooter.
