Randy Au holds a degree in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Kentucky and began his distinguished career with the U.S. Secret Service in 1988. Over the course of 28 years, he served in numerous high-profile roles, including as a Special Agent on the Presidential Protective Division and as Assistant Team Leader of the elite Counter Assault Team (CAT), a SWAT unit assigned to protect the President. He received advanced Close Quarter Battle (CQB) training from the U.S. Army’s Delta Force during this time.
In 1991, Randy became a certified firearms instructor and developed expertise with a wide range of weaponry, including revolvers, pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, and M-4 rifles.
Throughout his career, Randy led complex investigations into bank fraud and counterfeit currency, achieving a 100% conviction rate in all indicted cases. He also planned and executed the secure transfer of $1.3 billion in cash between Federal Reserve Bank branches—one of many critical missions under his leadership.
Randy retired as the Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) of the George H.W. Bush Protective Division, capping a career defined by integrity, precision, and dedication to national security.
