This course is designed to give participants an entry level understanding of handguns and how to utilize them in self-defense situations. Students practice the four rules of firearms safety, shooting range etiquette, and the other shooting techniques.

Do I need my own gun or ammunition?

No. Buck & Doe’s Mercantile has firearm rentals, ammunition, hearing protection, targets, and eye protection. First-time shooters can rest assured we will take care of all your needs, so you enjoy your first experience at an indoor shooting range to the fullest. Everything we do has your safety in mind.

Do you offer classes?

Yes! We offer a variety of classes for all skill levels. Whether you’re new to firearms, interested in archery, or looking to improve your shooting technique, our hands-on training is designed to help you feel confident and safe. All classes are led by certified firearm and archery instructors who make learning fun, approachable, and memorable.

Will I be able to shoot during my first visit?

Absolutely! During your first lesson, you’ll have the opportunity to shoot under the guidance of our experienced instructors. We make sure every new shooter feels confident and safe by teaching proper firearm handling, range safety, and shooting fundamentals. Our friendly team is here to support you every step of the way.

Our state-of-the-art indoor shooting range features bright, well-lit firing lanes and a high-performance ventilation system to ensure a clean, comfortable environment. Each lane is equipped with electronic target retrieval systems, allowing you to easily set distances and reset targets with the push of a button. Plus, our interactive digital controls give you full command of target distance, rotation, and training programs—perfect for both beginners and seasoned shooters looking to sharpen their skills. Whether you’re practicing with a handgun, rifle, or testing your accuracy, our range is designed to deliver a safe, exciting, and fully customizable shooting experience.

Do you offer one-on-one instruction?

Yes, we offer one-on-one instruction! Schedule a private firearms lesson by clicking on the “CLASSES” tab and signing up today. For just $99, you’ll receive a 1-hour personalized shooting session with one of our expert instructors, your choice of a rental firearm, a target, and rental eye and ear protection. Please note: ammunition is not included and will be an additional cost.

It was my first time (as a European) on a shooting range. Needed help with everything as I didn’t know anything about firearms.
The registration was very easy. Enter your own data on the tablet, enter your ID, and that’s it.
Then which weapon to choose? Basically any weapon was allowed for me.
The first time I shot was with a machine gun and then with a pistol.
The employees on site were very patient with me and explained everything to me and then helped me at the shooting range for 5 minutes until I understood it. My wife was able to film and take photographs at any time.
If you’re a non-American and want to shoot for the first time, you’re in good hands here.
In the end we paid around $120, without a tip 😉
